This app specifically targets the vowel perception abilities of English language students (e.g., ESOL, EFL). You will hear words spoken by British English speakers (standard London accent), and choose the one you heard from a group of similar words. * Choose between four different individual speakers, or a mix of random speakers. * Choose the length of the training session. * Get feedback about whether you were right or wrong, and compare wrong and correct answers so that you can hear the difference. * Training targets the vowels that are most difficult for you. * Track your progress compared to previous high scores. * Scientifically proven training method. * All profits fund academic research on language. This app is based on research by Paul Iverson and colleagues at University College London (UCL). We have found that language students who complete 5 long sessions spread over a week can significantly improve their vowel recognition. We cannot guarantee how much you will learn, but we hope that you will find it useful.
